HELENSVILLE REGATTA

~.:"" ♦ :— AT SHELLEY BEACH ON ' EASTER MONDAY Given a fine day—and it has every indication of being fine — there is every reason to expect that the above regatta —revived after a seven years' rest —will -"- turn out a decided success. All .... the arrangements are now pretty well complete, and the committee have plenty of energy left,to ax- : tend to matters on Easter Monday. The canvass for donations . and subscriptions have shown gratifying results, and the Club have a fairly substantial sum in hand. Arrangements have been with the Kaipara S!S. Co. Tfor a boat to convey excursionists joj^o_and from Shelley Beach, and will be made at Mt. Rex for the convenience of visitors per train. The Railway Department are issuing excursion tickets, if&nd are making a concession by delaying the afternoon train to Auckland, the time of depasture from Mt. Rexbeing 4.40, and from Helensville 5 o'clock. - It is anticipated that entries for the various water events will be good. The programme includes two four-oared skiff races, '~. and several Auckland crews are competing in these events, which are a new attraction for these parts.
