Some little time a«o he was obliged to dismiss hie servant, and tubsequently the lady who thought ot engaging the domestic wrote to Mr. T. for the girl's character. Now, Mr. T. might hare said a good many things, but —h« remembered that libel suit. A week or so later the lady called upon him la anything but an amiable temper. "I'Te called for an explanation, Mr. Timidity,' she began. "I engaged a girl solely on your recommendation, only to find she's worthless. Ton Raid that, like other girls, she had her faults ' "She has, madam!" "I'm aware of it.
