STATE PURCHASE AND CONTROL. NATIONAL PROHIBITION. Nominations of persons to appoint •crutineers in accordance with the Licensing Act, 1908, and the amendments thereto, in respect of each of the said proposals must be lodged with me not later than five o'clock in the afternoon of the 12th day of December, 1919. And I hereby give notice that I shall on the 13th day of December, 1919, at the hour of 10 o'clock in tne forenoon, at my office in DARGAVILLE, publicly consider all nomination-papers of persons to appoint scrutineers which have been duly lodged in respect of the said Licensing Poll. EDEN LICENSING DISTRICT NOTICE OF LICENSING POLLS (PROPOSALS FOR LOCAL RESTORATION AND FOR NATIONAL CONTINUANCE, NATIONAL PROHIBITION, OR STATE PURCHASE AND CONTROL), AND OF TIME AND PLACE FOR SELECTION OF FIT PERSONS TO APPOINT SCRUTINEERS THEREFOR. IN pursuance of the Licensing Act, 1908, and the Amendments thereto, I, William Fairburn Young Stewart, Returning Officer for the EDEN Licensing District, do hereby give notice that on the seventeenth day of December, 1919, the day appointed for taking the Electoral Poll for the Electoral District of Eden, simultaneously therewith a Licensing Poll will be taken upon the following proposals :— LOCAL RESTORATION LOCAL- NO-LICENSE, And concurrently with the taking of the said Licensing Poll there will be submitted for the determination of the electors of the said Licensing District the following proposals:— NATIONAL CONTINUANCE. STATE PURCHASE AND CONTROL. NATIONAL PROHIBITION. Nominations of persons to appoint scrutineers in accordance with the Licensing Act, 1908, and the Amendments thereto, in respect of each of the said proposals, must be lodged with me not later than five o'clock in the afternoon of the ninth day of December, 1919. And I hereby give notice that I shall on the thirteenth day of December, 1919, &t the hour of eleven o'clock in the forenoon, at my office in Government Buildings, Customs Street West, publicly consider all nomination papers of persons to appoint scrutineers which hava been duly lodged in respect of the Licensing Poll for the said Licensing District and in reaped of the National Licensing Poll. IN pursuance of the Legislature Act, 1908, and its Amendments, I, ARTHUR FROOD, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of KAIPARA, do hereby give notice that, by virtue of a Writ bearing date the 28th day of November, 1919, under tho hand of the Clerk of the Writs, an election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as member for the said district ; and that the latest hour for receiving nominations of candidates will be Noon on the eighth day of December, 1919 ; and that the poll, if necessary, will be taken a the 6everal polling-pl aces of the said district on the 17th day of December 1919. Every person desirous of becoming a candidate must be nominated by not less than two electors of the district, by a nomination-paper as prescribed by section 105 of the said Act, delivered to the Returning Officer on or before Noon on the eighth day of December, 1919, Hours of Polling are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dated this first day of December, 1919.
