MONTHLY MEETING.

f The adjourned monthly meetj^K of the above was held on evening last, October 16th, when the following members attended: Commissioners Jas. Mewart (chairman), C. West, T. g. Johnson, H. Thompson, W. >outts, Jas. McLeod, and the clerk (Mr W. F. Raisher). : MINUTES . Minutes of the previous meet- - l*ng were read and confirmed. •— CORRESPONDENCE Outward correspondence was confirmed. ROAD DEVIATION. The question of the deviation of the road at the Horseshoe was left in the hands of the who undertook to submit the special plan and agreement to the Waitemata County Council for their inspection, REMISSION OF RATES. The matter of remission of rates to returned soldiers or their dependants was mentioned, and the cleric-was instructed to.pre- _ pare a list of such ratepayers for consideration at the next meeting of the Board. BUILDING PERMIT. An application by the Kaipara Dairy Factory for permission to erect a shed was granted. LIBRARIAN'S RESIGNATION. The resignation of Mr J. Sproston as- librarian was received. . * ' It was prosoesd by Cr. McLeod, ,' seconded by Cr Thompson, that ~ Mr Sproston's resignation be ac- \ cepted with regret, and that appreciation of his services as librarian during the past five and • a half years be recorded in the I minutes, It wa& decided to call applications for the position of librarian. COTTAGE HOSPITAL. On the motion of Cr. West, seconded by Cr, Thompson, it was decided that the Hospital and - Charitable Aid Board be *, again written to with reference 1 to establishing a cottage hospital in Helensville, and that the y- chairman (Mr Wallace) be reI-, minded of his promise to visit \- Helensville in this connection. t ' GENERAL.
