A meeting of the Kaukapakaua Sunday school teachers was held on Monday evening last. Very satisfactory progress was reported. The financial statement showed that the debt on the new Sunday school buildings had been entirely wiped out, a balance of £5 being in hand. Mrs Stevens tendered her resignation as an active teacher, but promised her assistance when required. It was decided to place on record an appreciation of her valued assistance. The meeting considered that had it not been for Mrs Stevens the school might not have been in such a highly satisfactory state. In response to many enquifri^fctijh.6 teachers decided to opeii^PJfj summer session on the first Sunday in October. Private H. Stevens, of Kaukapakapa, who was expected home last w&gfc, will not arrive until Saturday next, owing to the boat being delayed,. A young people's social is to be held on Friday evening, September 12th, at the Methodist school room. A good programme of g^yg, competitions, and vocal jterps hg,s t>een arranged, and all young people are cordially invi= ted. Supper, of course, will be provided.
