VETERINARY SCIENCE CLASSES.

The organising secretary of the N.A.Farmers' Union, Kaipara S.-P. District, made application to the Stock Depart--ment some time ago for a series of lectures on " Veterinary Science—Diseases of Cows, Sheep and Horses " and lectures on soils, soil cultivation, grassing of lands, etc. This morning a reply was received from the director general of the Department of Agriculture, stating he will be"^ pleased to make arrangements with the; organiser for a series of lectures. Also that Mr Patterson, agricultural instructor, will deliver a series of lectures on soils and manures. The district may he congratulated on having these instructors come amongst them to advise and educate them on these matters.
