LECTURE AT PARAKAI
An interesting evening was held in the Parakai Hall on Monday, 18th inst., when Mr E. H. Pain, organiser of the Auckland Sunday School Union,-gave a display qf fine lantern pictures. The programme consisted of a series of pictures illustrating China and the Chinese. Very fjne examples of Chinese buildings, including temples, towers, etG., were shown. The silk )and tea industry were qlsq reprer seated. Mr Grey described his experiences when recently in China, Tho second part of the programme consisted of beautifully coloured pictures, mnch. enjoyed by the audience.—Correspondent.
