On Saturday last Helensville seniors defeated Waimauku on the Showgrounds by 12 to 5.

The Maori senior team were victorious over Kaukapakapa by 15 points to 5.

At Parakai the HelensvilleParakai junior match was a hard fought one, resulting in a win for Farakai by 9 points to 6. One of the winning team's players was ordered off for rough play.

On Saturday next Helensviile seniors will play the Maori team.

The Whangarei-Wairoa match at Dargaville on Saturday last, resulted in a win for Whangarei by 42 points to 14. The visiting team played a hard, clean game, and well deserved their win —and the Harding shield.
