CITIZEN'S BALL.
At a meeting of the Citizen's Ball committee on Tuesday evening, Mr N. W. Rimmer presided, The following were added to the general committee : Mesdames Eames, Becroft, Strange, J. F. Lambert jr., C. Bandin, Jas, McLeod, Barnes; Messrs Ellett, Graham, West, J. B«U, J. F. Lambert jr., Jas. McLeod, and Barnes.
The following were added to the supper committee: Mesdames Becroft, Jas. McLeod' Strange, Eames, Lambert, C. Sandin, and Mr Jas. McLeod. Supper arrangements were left entirely in the hands of this committee.
Contributions towards supper wore promised by several present,
After a disoueslon on the matter, it was decided to eliminate menu cards, toasts, and wines from the supper proceedings. It was also decided that dress be optional.
It was decided that the official designation of the function, be the Citizens' and Settlors' Ball. The "[date was definitely fixed for "Thursday, August 21st., and next committee meeting will bo held on Tuesday, July 29th.
