KAUKAPAKAPA.

On Saturday night last the newly - formed Kaukapakapa Men's Club held their first Club session. A debate was arranged, Town Life v. Country Life, Mr Pace championing the side of the town, while Mr T. Stevens, in the absence of his father, ably spoke on behalf of the country. Many interesting points were raised on both sides, but as was natural the majority preferred country life. About 22 members were present, and every one spoke (according to rule) in th» course of the evening. Mr Koller, the President, was chairman for the evening.

Last Tuesday evening the Bible Class in connection with the Methodist Church met to consider the subject: "Why I believe in the Bible." The Minister in charge gave a helpful address, and offered to reply to any questions at the end. It was felt by all present that a very profitable evening had been spent.

Amongst the evenings arranged for by the Men's Club for this quarter are evenings for impromptu speeches, a debate on Pakeha v. Maori, a ping pong tournament, and sanies.

On Thursday, June 12th, a concert is to be given in the Kaukapakapa "Public Hall on behalf of the Church of England. The admission is 1/-, supper and dance to follow.!

The annual Foreign Mission meetings of the Methodist Church in this oircuit will be held on Thursday and Friday June 12th and 13th. The Rev! J. H. Edmondson is to speak at Woodhill on Thursday and at Kaukapakapa on Friday evenings. Will friends kindly note the change in the dates, and make an effort to attend.

We hear that several of-6'uf residents are selling their farms one or two transaction* having been completed this week.
