A few evenings ago a lady who attended one of the picture shows dropped her purse, and left the theatre at the close of the programme without discovering her loss, But she had not gone far on her homeward, way when she missed the purse, and hastened back to see if she had left it in the theatre. She was in a somewhat agitated state of mind when she interviewed the manager, who after getting her to describe the purse and its contents had the pleasure of restoring it to her. She owed its restoration to the honesty of a boy who had been sitting near her, and who observed it lying on the floor after she had quitted the theatre. This boy did not know that it belonged to her. He didn't know to whom it belonged, and instead of putting it in his pocket, as nine boys out of ten might have done, he at once sought out the manager and handed it over to him.
