Apropos of cold water, that bold announcement, a day or two before the Poll, by 65 Auckland doctors in favour of Prohibition was doubtless very impressive. But its value from the Prohibs. standpoint was considerably discounted when Dr. Sharpe, of Grey Lynn, wrote to the paptrs to say that he recognised amongst the 65 names of doctors responsible for the announcement already referred to, those oftsome men whom he knew from his personal knowledge kept the best wine cellars in Auckland for their personal use.
