BAD TASTE
What must the returned Maori warriors and their friends have thought of the conduct of the pakehas who, when the tangi was being held in Auckland Domain in commemoration of those who 'had fallen, began to laugh, and evidently regarded the whole thing as a good joke ? Had Maoris in attending the funeral service of white men behaved as those pakehas did at the Domain the other day they would have been driven away — perhaps arrested. These socalled savages, or half-savages, could teach many a pakeha a few things he would be all the better for knowing.
