ANZAC DAY.
The Chairman of the Helensville Town Board has received the following Gazette, notice from the Acting Prime Minister :'
" I hereby notify, for public inform*; tion, that the Government have decided to observe Anzac Day, Friday, 25th April, 1919, as a public holiday.
2. Isballb© glad if the Mayors of »U cities and borough*, the Chairmen of:. County Council* and Town Boards, id.:} well as other local bodies, as far at their wJ diitricts are concerned, will similarly observe the day in /remembrance oftht notable deeds performed by the Au*. tralians and our ; brave New Zealand soldiers on that mamorable and historic!' occasion. \ . . 3. It is specially fitting that on this occasion special seryicw of public ! worship be, held by all religious dtipm* inations, and I therefore appeal .^•U^ Ministers of religion and all congreffift* r tions to hold ■uchiu prices. ...
4. The New Zealand Ensign will be displayed on all public buildings from sunrise to sunset. -%'- ---5. It is requested that the manage*!
