In reply to a deputation from the Chamber of Commerce at DargaYille re the need of a light at South Head, the Hon. T. M. Wilford said he could make no definite promise, but would, when lights were procurable, consider transferring the fixed light at Helensville Creek to South Head, and placing a winking light at Helensville Creek, which, he understood, was what was required.
Now the war is ov«r the New Zealand war correspondent is contributing articles about the fighting. He must be costing the country something like £800 a year, and for such a soft job as contributing resurrection screed, it is jolly good pay. We expect most people thought he was a prisoner in Germany Perhaps he has been and is now repatriated.
