DOMAIN BOARD.
Helensville,- December 10 th. PRESENT Comrs. Jas. Stewart (in the chair), H. Thompson, C. West, W. Coutts, Jas. McLeod, H. Aitkenhead, and the Secretary. MINUTES Minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. CORRESPONDENCE Outward correspondence was dealt with and approved. GOVERNMENT GRANT The Chairman laid voluminous correspondence on the table re obtainining grant of £500 from the Government. On the motion of Cr Aitkenhead, .seconded by Cr Thompson, it was decided —That letters of thanks be forwarded to the Hon. A. Myers, Hon. J. M. Wilford, and Messrs Parr and Harris, M.P. for their assistance in the matter. GENERAL : It was decided to advertise for eight pairs of bowls, the purchase to be left to Chairman, and Secretary. The Board agreed to visit the Springs on Saturday, December 21st. On the motion of Cr. Aitkenhead, seconded by Cr. Thompson, it was decided to erect a gate at paddock entrance. ■ An application was reoeived from Mr B. L. Bailey for increase in wages. On the motion of Cr Thompson, seconded by Cr McLeod, it was decided that an inorease of one shilling per day be granted.
