HELENSVILLE V. KAUKAPAKAPA

On. Saturday last a local cricket team journeyed to Kaukapakapa and played a match in aid of the Red Cross Effort.

A good wicket had been prepared, and after a pleasant game Helensville won by an innings and 58 runs.

Kaukapakapa totalled 49 runs for their two innings, the bowling honours for Helensville being shared by Hand, Callow,.McLeod, Johnson and Wallace. Helensville on going to bat realised 107 runs, Bagnall 22, Wallace 21, and McLeod 20, all retired, being the chief run getters.

During the afternoon, tea was dispensed by the ladies, and much appreciated.
