fOwN CORRESPONDENT?!

The Queen Carnival campaign is still being- vigorously pursued, and various functions are being held to raise funds.

Recently the Blues and Golds played a football match. After a very even gama the Blues won 5 to nil.

Last week a combined basket social was held, and the sum of £12917s 4d was raised by the sale of various articles and the baskets.

Top price was paid for the Blue Queen's basket which brought £28, and several brought £5 or over.

Mr A. Carran, of the Farmers' Union, gratuitously gave his services as auctioneer.
