A notable but pleasing event took place last Saturday afternoon at the Domain grounds, when some two or three dozen youths gathered together for a football practice, under the tuition of Mr Campbell, when some fine sport was indulged in. These lads are in the making of worthy sons of their veteran sires of this national game of New Zea" 3j^ land, and some day, no doubt, .W will challenge the most expert P exponents of the ga.me to a friendly match. Mr Campbell, who is an authority on matters pertaining to the game, expressed himself as delighted with" the , material he has to work orir and also with the ground, which, he says, is second to none. This and other games should encourage residents and visitors to give all the popularity they can to this near Auckland beauty spot. Here is a wealth unthought of yesterday, but to-day blooming forth into splendour perhaps. Some future day I may return 'to the meaning of this wealth. '....'.
