A SPLENDID WORK.
In common with the Union Jack Club, the Church Army, and other agencies,' the V.M.C.A. has been officially approached to make arrangements for the, ; feeding of men on leave in London. ThJ&j>: V.M.C.A. is also engaged in important!^ efforts in connection with food production. Every Red Triangle hut will aooa have its own cabbage and potato patch. /•> Rabbit-breeding and poultry raising are rf also being undertaken, and two experi-. mental farms have been acquired. This work is being through by discharged soldiers and sailors, so that the promoters have in view not only the production of food, but the training of dis- ' abled men. During the past twelve months the V.M.C.A was able to placo no fewer than 5,329 men in situations. Of these 28 had artificial arms, 65 had lost the total use of an arm, 506 the partial use, 48 had artificial legs, 20 had lost the total use of a leg, and 665 had partially lost tha use of a leg.
