ANZAC DAY.

ANZAC Day is being universally celebrated to-day, thus marking the third anniversary of the landing of the New Zealand troops on the Gallipoli Peninsula. The residents of Helensvi lie are asked to make a special effort to attend the United Memorial Service to be held in the Lyric Theatre this evening at 8.15 p.m. The Rev. L. J. Hodson and others will speak, and patriotic songs and instrumental items will be given by the Rev. A. Venables, Messrs H. White, D. Rennie, and M. McGarvey. A collection will be made for the Red Cross Fund.

At St. Matthew's Church, at 7 p.m., a short service (evensong and sermon) will be held, with suitable hymns, etc.
