DOMAIN BOARD.

Helensville, February 20th,

I PRESENT Comrs. Lambert (in the chair), H. Graham, F. W. Strange, H. Thompson, and the Secretary. MINUTES Minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed. CORRESPONDENCE Outward correspondence was dealt with and approved. LEAVE WANTED A letter was received from P. C. Cormack, asking for seven days' leave of absence. It was decided to reply asking Mr Cormack to make his request a little later on. HARD TIMES B. L. Bailey wrote asking for an increase of 1/- per day wages. It was resolved on the motion of the Chairman, seconded by Cr. Thompson—That the Board regret it cannot entertain the request at present. IMPROVEMENTS The Chairman proposed and Cr. Graham seconded — That double gates be procured for the main drive, the Chairman to arrange matters. —Carried. TELEPHONE CHARGES The Chairman proposed and Cr. Graham seconded—That the Post and Telegraph Department be written to, asking for reduction in telephone charges.—-Carried. BATH ATTENDANT On the motion of the Chairman seconded by Cr. Strange, it was resolved—That applications ' be called for the position of bath attendant (female) on the same terms as heretofore. —Carried. ACCOUNTS Accounts amounting to, £2418s 7d were passed for payment.
