BOWLING.
AWAROA BOWLING CLUB.
THE opening of the Awaroa Bowling Club on Saturday last, October 27th, was a very pleasant function, and not only was the green in perfect condition, but the weather also was perfect. The President, Mr H. Aitkenhead welcomed the visitors and members to the green, and expressed a hope that the ladies would not get jealous of Kitty, whom all bowlers try to catch. He said that he could not conclude without wishing, what was foremost in all their minds, a safe return to our brave boys at the front. He wished the members a / successful season, and thanked / the ladies for their attendance, /; for without them no function / was perfect.
