WIND-UP SOCIAL.

The Star Theatre on Mouday evening last was the scene of a very pleasant gathering, the occasion being the termination of Mrs Vercoe's dancing class, f when a fancy dress social was held. There was a large and representative gathering present. A number of ladies donned fancy dress, looking dainty and pretty, and giving aw air of gaiety to the scene. Only one gentlemen appeared in oiit-of-the-ordinary costume, and he ■ ■-. was voted a very brave man indeed.
