GOLF.
HELENSVILLE GOLF CLUB.
THE Club held its official closing day on Saturday last, when a fair number of players took advantage of the fine day. During the afternoon mixed foursomes were played, and enjoyable games resulted. Afternoon test+was dispensed by the ladies, and much appreciated.
At* the tea. adjournment, the President, in a happy speech, presented the prizes to the winners of the competition for Mr and Mrs Stringer's trophies, congratulating the winners upon their success, and adding words of encouragement to the younger players:
