THE RED TRIANGLE FARM

EDUCATION FOR BODY, MIND

AND SPIRIT

Education in its wider application, concerning itself with the entire human being—mind, body, and spirit—is the point of view that is borne in on one by a visit to the Red Triangle Farm Colony, which the V.M.C.A have recently established on a stretch of beautiful moorland in Dorsetshire, says an English newspaper. The establishment is an initial experiment in the training of discharged soldiers in agricultural and industrial pursuits, and those only are eligible for admission who are suffering from slight tubercular trouble, which may be arrested within a reasonable time by the adoption of an outdoor life and specific treatment. Specially constructed and hygienically designed huts for the accommodatton of the patients are distributed over a sheltered and wooded portion of the estate. There is an open-air billiard saloon, large sheds for worshops, and here in the mqst favoured climate of England and amid glorious scenery many of those who have broken down in the service of their country are being given not only a fresh start in health, but also an insight into outdoor occupations. Such men need to be kept out of cities, and^ induced %o remain on the land either at Home p.r- jn_ Qur Overseas Dominions.
