.-' 'Mr Crane, one of th> ; deputation to the Ministers which went-from the%uckland Railways, League. , v asked that £50,000 should this, year be .allocated to the Whangarei branch line, theCsatnW&ount as voted last year, and £10,000 to the Kaikohe-Okaihau extension. He-cared nothing about the gapsnotyet connected on the main line south of Kaikohe. The Member who is supposed to .be^v looking alter Kaipara's .interests had:nothing to say. No one from these parts objected. A conference of the North Auckland Development Board has been held since, and that conference carried a resolution m favour of the extension of the line beyond Kaikohe to a deep water port. But there was no report of any resolu tion on behalf of the connection of the Wairoa with the main line, and we are on the direct line to Kaikohe. We are waiting for the conclusion of the war,' and then we will have a few of the great airships. We will then be able to load our meat, etc., and send it out to sea to the passing steamers.—Wairoa Bell. F wChi' o. nj,c Cllest Complaints, ■ Woods Great Peppermint Cure. 1/6,2/6
