" Merrymack," in the Hasting Bulletin tells the following of a girlfriend:—A few evenings ago her pa—who had no business to be there at all, 0/ else to have shut his eves— thought he saw her kissing the young man who see 3 that nobody runs away with her on her way home. Next morning, dad severely rebuked his daughter, and asked, " Have I not always instructed you to follow the teachings of the Bible ?" The young lady had a ready answer. She said that her conduct wa§ quite right, and was allowed, and even commanded, in the Bible, in the following passage : " Whatsoever ye wouid that men should do unto you, do ye even so to them." Pa went out on the verandah for a smoke.
