For some days previously several young ladies had been busily engaged in conducting a campaign for a handsome mirror, and the lucky winner proved to be Mrs Nxeld, while the doll and ladies' bag were won by Miss Stancombe and Major Turley respectively. The sweet-stall, presided over by Miss Wikon, was tastefully arranged, and did a brisk trade in home-made sweets. During the evening two very fine vocal items were rendered with great taste by Mrs C, Wilson, and the violin predated rCT erWaSal6oi *™«* •* i predated A very pretty step-dance' was performed by the little Misses X McGarvey and E.
