HELENSVILLE GOLF CM

THE "usual "fortnightly committee mee^^ ing was held last Monday evening. Present: Messrs Stringer (chair), Screaton, Wilson, McLeod, -Hill, Carter and Wallace (hon. secretary). The Secretary was instructed to write to the Chairman of the Helensville Town Board, pointing out the unsatisfactory state of portions of Awaroa Road, and suggesting that the road be made reasonably passable for pedestrians This road is frequented by some 30 members of the Club, most of whom are ratepayers.' It was decided that Saturday, 23rd June, be set apart for mixed foursomes, partners to be drawn for on the ground. Play to commence not later than 2.30 p.m. Mr and Mrs Stringer kindly donated ( trophies for competition, the ladies to play three cards, each of one round of nine holes, and the 'gents three cards of 18 holes, the best aggregate cards returned to be the winners. Handicaps for this competition, which will close four weeks from June 30th, will be declared shortly. Entrance fee for Jadies ,6d, gents Is. . The green fees for visiting players were fixed at 5s per month or part thereof, and players under the age of 15 years to be admitted as members at 2/6 per annum, plus levy if necessary. Two new members were elected. Accounts totalling £2 4s 5d were passed for payment.
