WEDDING BELLS.

DROWER—MEGSON PRINGLE—MEGSON,

HELEWSVILLE was en fete on Wednesday the 6th inst., when a very pretty and popular double wedding took place in the Methodist Church, the Rev. Garland, of Auckland, officiating. The Church, which was thronged long before the appointed time, was tastefully decorated with nikau palms and lillies, while suspended from the roof was a lovely floral wedding bell. The contracting parties were Misa Clare Megson and Mr Harvey B. Drower, and Miss Ada Megson and Mr Robert R. Pringle. The brides, who were given away by their father, Mr J. A. Megson, were charmingly attired in most beautiful robes of crepe de chine, and wore the orthdox veil and orange blossoms, and carried lovely shower bouquets. The bridesmaids were the Miases Minnie and Nellie Megson, sisters of the brides, and they were prettily gowned in dainty frocks of white silk, both carrying beautiful bouquets. The bridegrooms were attended by Messrs Delaney and Taylor, both of whom are returned soldiers.

After the ceremony the party adjourned to the Star Theatre, where about eighty guests sat down to a sumptuous wedding breakfast. The tables were nicely decorated, and the catering of the best. The usual toasts were honoured, and responded to. Some yery good musical items were rendered, and " all went merrily as a marriage bell."

The happy couples left by the afternoon train for their honeymoon, amid showers of rice and heartiest congratulations. Both wore dark green travel--1 ing costumes and black hats.

The presents were numerous and valuable, and the young 'couples carry with them the good wishes of the entire community.
