Friday—" A Modern Enoch Arden," presented by the famous Keystone Co., is a unique comedy in every way. Strictly speaking it is a travesty—and1 a very clever one indeed—of the loud and lurid melodramas presented from time to time on the stage proper. Many of the burlesque situations and the mock heroicß of the hero and heroine, etc., are too funny for words. The star feature drama " Out of the Flotsam " (Vitagraph) is a splendid production.
Saturday—The Lubin Co has lately been turning- out some very fine six reel subjects, mostly stories of outdoor life. " The Eagle's Nest" is such a one. This 600 ft feature play is adapted from the book by Edwin Arden, and the author stars in the picture, together with Romaine Fielding. The film portrays in beautifully clear photography a big story of the wild days of Wester n America. It is a tale of Adventure crammed with melodramic excitement. Big supporting programme.
Tuesday—There's a real smashing, dashing story of love and war unfolded in ".Bullets and Brown Eyes," the spectacular picture-play in five huge acts by Thos. H. Ince. Miss Bessie Barriscale («f " Golden Claw" memories), and William Desmond (late J. C. Williamson Co) are the two leading players in this magnificent picture. The supporting films include " Physical Education," " Flowerland in Japan," and " Mutt and Jeff in Hospital."
