REDUCED TRAIN SERVICES.
DETAILS OF'CHANGES,
THE Railway Department's war time-table, which embodies some drastic reductions, will come into force on Sunday, May 13. It has f been in contemplation for some time, and indeed antedates the present reduced time-table, though not so. drastic as the scheme of reductions adopted during the coal strike, it is yet severe enough to warrant ample warning to the public. The most important feature is s the cutting out of all suburban trains after 7 p,m. The expresses between Auckland and Helensville will also be discontinue^^ but trains will leave Auckland and Helensville at 7.22 a.m. daiiy7 The afternoon train to Helensville will leave at 3.15 p.m., not 4.42 p.m. Mid-day trains to and from Henderson 'and Papakura . •;" will be run. The afternoon train /\ ■ to Frankton will leave at 3.30 p.m / ' instead of 4.25 p,m. An express train making connections for Rotorua, Thames, Waihi, Cambridge, and Taumarunui, will leave Auckland at 9.15 a.m. daily. The "Wellington express V s ** will be put forward five minutes, leaving at 8.45 p.m., not 8.50 p.m* • "~ There are a number of minor alterations, and a two-page timetable showing all the trains running under the new Scheme, is " now obtainable at all stations.
