HELENSVILLE GOLF CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING.

THE second annual general meeting of the above Club was held on Monday evening- last in the Star Theatre. Mr Stringer occupied the chair. The balance sheet, showing a credit balance of £3 4s sd, was read and adopted. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year :mor-~ Patron—Mr T. Elliott. JESIPresident—Mr H. W. Stringer. Auditor —Mr J. R. Screaton." Hon. Secretary and Treasurer —Mr N.Wallace. Handicappers—Messrs E. O. McLeod and N. Wallace. Committee —Ladies: Mesdames Eames, Carter, Elliott, Stringer ; and Sewell, and Misses Rimmer, (\ Wilson, and A. Simcock. Gents: Messrs Hill, Carter, Wilson, Osmond, E, O. McLeod, and J, R. Screaton. Seven new members were elected. The subscription for the coming year was fixed at — Ladies V~ 10s, gents 15s. It was decided that the opening day be May sth., and that a mixed foursome be played, players to arrange their own partners. It was proposed and carried unanimously that the Club place on record its appreciation of Mr Elliott's kindness in allowing the Club the use of his property for play, and to thank him for the good services rendered. A meeting of the gents' committee will be held in the Bank of New Zealand on Monday next, 30th inst., at 7.30 p.m. sharp.
