HELENSVILLE TOWN BOARD.
THURSDAY, APRIL 12th, 1917 PRESENT Comrs. J. F. Lambert (chairman), H. Thompson, H. Graham, H. Aitkenhead, E. T. Field, Jas. Stewart, and the clerk (MrW. F. Raisher). MINUTES Minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed. CORRESPONDENCE Outward correspondence was confirmed. RUBBISH TIP Com. Field proposed, and the Chairman seconded —That the Road and Works Committee take steps to find a suitable durrij||||j ground for rubbish. I^^ CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL Com. Graham proposed and the Chairman seconded —That the Clerk represent the Board at the laying of the foundation stone of the Children's Hospital* FIRE BRIGADE STATION It was resolved that the Board inspect sites offered for Fire Brigade station on Friday, Aprils 20th., at 4.30. " .'' OUR REPRESENTATIVE The Chairman proposed and Com. Thompson seconded —That Com, Aitkenhead be appointed representative for the Town District on the Northern Development Board. " BRIDGE APPROACHES On the motion of the Chairman seconded by Com. Stewart, it was resolved —That the fencing of the approaches to the Kaipara River bridge be left to Com. Aitkenhead to arrange. NELSON STREET FORMATION Com, Aitkenhead proposed and Com. Thompson seconded —That work on Nelson Street be proceeded with as soon as possible. BLACKBERRY PEST It was resolved that the surfaceman furnish the clerk with a list of properties infested with blackberries, and that the owners be given 14 clays notice to clear them.
