FAREWELL SOCIAL.
On Easter Monday evening, the Star Theatre was crowded with well-wishers to bid adieu to our soldiers of the 25th and 26th Reinforcements, who were spending their final leave with friends and relatives in Helensville. The guests of honour were : Lance-Corpl. P. Williams, Privates G. Adams, J. Hall, A. Sullivan, Milnes, and R. M. Becroft. The floor was in splendid condition for dancing, and everyone enjoyed themselves thoroughly. Good music was supplied by Miss M. Cullens, while the duties of Ms.C. were in the capable hands of Messrs John and Robert Constable, Mr E. T. Field, in a few well-'.liosen words congratulated the uoys on their determination to "do their bit" for King and Country, and presented each with a shaving outfit from the public, and a pair of socks from the Women's Patriotic League. Private Becroft acted as spokesman, and thanked them all for their kindness.
