SUNDAY'S MEMORIAL SERVICE.
The public of Helensville were rather apathetic in putting in an appearance at the Military Memorial Service in Stewart's Theatre on Sunday afternoon last. As previously notified, the local bodies fell in at the Public Library, arid headed by the Town Band, marched to the Hall. The military was represented H" by members of the Kaipara Defence Riflo Club. The preacher, Rev. Jas. Pattison m his opening remarks, made the announcement that there would be a public meeting at tke EtefertceO^ce' next Friday evening to fdfm a committe to organise thes*'military services 04^ better footing, It is hoped a represent^ ~ tive number from the lqqal bqdies will put in an appearance a% this meeting Miss Clarke, Q f Auckland, wng yew sweetly and in fine voice, "God Bless Our Soldiers," Mr H.
