TUESDAY, MARCH 13TH, 1917. PRESENT Comrs. J. F. Lambert (chairman), \H. Thompson, H. Graham, H. Aitkenhead, E. T. Field, Jas. Stewart, and the clerk (MrW. F. Raisher). MINUTES Minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed. CORRESPONDENCE Outward correspondence was 1 confirmed. HEALTH INSPECTOR ftri On thn motion of Com. Field, seconded by Com. Aitkenhead, it was agreed to pay £25 Health Inspector's charges, but the Board expressed the opinion that his visits should be more frequent. / <<- BY-LAWS The Chairman proposed and Com. Thompson seconded—That the re» quest for two copies of the by-laws by the Ne»v Lynn 'i own Board be granted. p*v HARBOUR BOARD ELECTION < It was decided, on the motion of Com. Thompson, seconded by Com. Field, to comply with the request from the Town Clerk, Takapuna, for 36 lolls for the Harbour Board election. REPAIRS TO PATHS The Chairman proposed and Com. Field seconded—That the footpaths in Mary Street and Awaroa Road (one side) to be tarred and 6anded. SPECIAL MEETING Consideration of coirespondence from the Waitemata County Council's solicitor, re Kaipara Bridge, was de-" ferred to a special meeting to be held on Thursday, 22nd inst. MEMORIAL SERVICE Com. Aitkenhead proposed and tn'e Chairman seconded—That the mem. bers" would in future attend ."In Memoriam " services. <;. ROAD INSPECTION Com. Aitrcenhead proposed and the Chairman seconded—That the Roads Committee inspect Mill Road at an early date. ... ' . NEW BOOKS FOR LIBRARY ' Com. Field proposed and Chairman '* seconded—That 22 new books be procured for the Library, as re* quested. . -'" SPEED LIMIT FOR CARS I Com. Thompson (in pursuance of notice of motion) proposed and Com. Field seconded—That the speed limit of all motor cars in Helensviile be ' 15 miles per per hour. As an amendment Com. Ait Kenhead proposed and the Chairman seconded —That Auckland City bylaws be adopted with reference to motor cars. Amendment carried on casting vote of the Chairman. , MORE TAR [ ■ Com.
