Jones, Auctioneer, Victoria and ' Lome Streets, Auckland, reports •'— The market this week has been ex-., ceptionally busy, and for choice quality potatoes and choice young pullets a strong demand existed. Butter and eggs are a shade easier. The fruit market has been well ."supplied, and for good dessert and cooking apples the market remained firm. Over the"advertised number of poultry came forward and a steady demand existed for good young fresh hens, also pullets. Roosters of heavy breed sold well. Young ducks are in good demand. We realised for a line of pullets from 5s 6d to 8s 6d. POULTRY (1458 penned). Roosters, prime 4s to 5s 4d; hens, heavy 3s 6d to 3s 9d, smaller 2s to 2sJlod' cockrells Is to Is 8d; pullets, choice 53 6dtqßs6d, good 4s to 4s 6d, fresh - conditioned young hens 2s 6d to 3s sd; ducks, 2s to ss; geese, 6s; turkeys, gobblers 8s 6d to 12s, hens 4s to 6s.
