TERRITORIAL CAMP.
AT HELENSVILLE
Boys ! We must apologise for the unkind reception the Helensville weather gave you on the night of your arrival here, and we trust it will fully make amends before you leave, an*d that like a fair damsel, whose tears are tokens of happiness and joy, it bids you welcome and appreciates to the full the efforts you are all making to protect this country, and its women and children from the awful fate meted out to other conquered countries.
THE 15th North Auckland Regiment went into camp at Helensville for the concentration and annual training camp on Wednesday, the 21st inst., and the period will extend to the 9th of March. About 500 men and their officers will be under canvas in Mr T. Elliott's paddock, Awaroa "Road. Unfortunatelyvery bad weather set in for the commencement, and the town was full of soldiers yesterday, owing to the heavyy gale and rain preventing the men from putting in their usual drill, etc. The men were made comfortable that evening in the two halls, owned by Messrs Jas. Stewart and A. Becroft.
To-day they will be settled down to their proper quarters, if the weather clears up, and work will commence in real earnest The day's routine will be as follows : —The men will £urn out at 5.45 a.m.; parade, 6.30 a.m.; breakfast, 7.45 a.m.; parade, 9'a.m.; lunch, 12.30 p.m.; parade, 2 p.m.; dinner, 6 p.m.; lights out, 10.15 p.m. It will be seen that all hands will be kept busy during each day.
