STREET REPAIRS

TO THE EDITOR SIR, —Would you kindly allow me space to suggest to our Town Board the necessity of repairing the east side of Garfield Road, which is now in a bad state for foot-passengers, especially at night time. And there is a tree Bomewhere near your own private boundary, Mr Editor, which has a very nasty habit of knocking people's hats off when they are dodging the dangerous holes in the road. The footpath on the west side is kept in real good order, and is a credit to the Board. Garfield Road is destined to be the main thoroughfare leading to the best residential quarter of the town, and it is well worthy the attention of the town authorities, as there must be an ever increasing population in that district. —I am, etc.,

Ratepayer,
