WHAT JAPAN HAS DONE
In an interesting account of Japan, as he had seen it in peace and, at the present time, i^r Arthur Qiqsy says :—
'•' Japan has undertaken to sweep the German flag from the Pacific, and has done so, leaving only Admiral Yon Spec's squadron, which was destroyed by the British. Japan has sent Red Cross nurses and equipment to various points, and at the outset of the war, when Russia was i.n retreat, she her true friendship'to tliat country by making a gift to the Russian Government of all the guns she had captured during the Russo-Japanese war.
