*t~- - J* [OWN CORRESPONDENT | The school children's annual' picnic, which was postponed^ from December 20th on account of the boisterous weather^lßs;! held in the Recreation Gromul J on January 6th. The weather* * was all that could be desired, and ♦ there was a large gathering of_\ children and their parents front, this and surrounding districts. ~ Luncheon was served about 12 _ o'clock, after which each child - received a suitable toy. The afternoon was spent in games and races, and the children had a merry time, Aftet* tea had been partaken of all wended "" their way home, tired buthappyr In the evening a very enjoyable dance was held in the Hall, the music being supplied by Messrs Douglas and Brott. Mr J. Thomson acted as M.C.
