PRODUCE MARKET Mr. J. Jones, Auctioneer, Victoria am Lome Streets, Auckland, reports :— The market this week shows signs o improvement, though in most lines thi prices are much lower. Potatoes came forward in heavy supply and prices fel considerably, with a marked showing that values are still to go lower. Th< poultry market is lower. Fruit and eggs are selling well. POULTRY Hens, prime choice 2s 9d to 3s Bd, good 2s 6d to 2s 9d, poor 2s to 2s 4d ! ducks, old Is9d to 2s 4d, young 2s to 3s 8d ; roosters, prime up to .6s, good 4s to 4s 9d, smalll 2s to 2s lOd ; geese 5s ; turkeys, gobblers 8s 6d to 15s. FARM PRODUCE Potatoes, 7s to 8s 6d, others £4; onions local £7 10s to £9; kumeras'Bs 6d. DAIRY PRODUCE Butter Is to Is l^d, eggs Is sd, cheese Bdto 9d, hams lOd to ll^d, sides 9d to lid. FRUIT Apples local 5s 6d to 9s 6d, peaches 4s to 7s, plums 3s 6d to 5s 9d, local lemons 8s 6d to 11s 6d. GRAIN Maize ss, wheat ,7s 3d, oats 4s, bran £5 10s, sharps £7 15s.
