♦ PRODUCE MARKET MR. J. JONES, Auctioneer, Victoria and Lome Streets, Auckland, reports:— Poultry came forward in heavy supply and for good conditioned birds good prices were again realised. Turkeys and geese were in strong demand. Potatoes are lower. We quote: POULTRY (2640 penned) Hens, prime. 3s 3d to 4s, good 2s 9d to 3s Id, ordinary 2s 6d to 3s, small 2s to 2s 3d; ducks, 2s to 4s 3d ; roosters, prime up to 6s, good 4s to 4s 6d, small 2s to 3s; chickens, 4d to 6d each ; ducklings, lOd to Is 2d ; turkeys, gobblers 9s 6d to 15s 9d, hens, 6s to Bs. Pigs, 14s to 19s 6d. FARM PRODUCE Potatoes, new, prime 12s to 14s 6d, good 11s to lls 9d, small 5s to 7s ; onions, 18s 6d ; pumpkins, 9s; kumeras 8a to 10s 6d. DAIRY PRODUCE Butter, Is to Is 2d; eggs, Is 3d to Is 5d ; cheese, lOJ^d ; hams, 10^d to Is sides lOi^d to ll^d. FRUIT Apples, 16s toABs 6d ; plums, 5s to 6s; tomatoes, 6d to lid lb ; lemons 6s to 12s; gooseberries 5s 6d to Bs. GRAIN Maize 5s 6d, wheat 6s 9d, bran £5 10s, sharps £8, barley meal £6 15s, oats 4s 2d, chaff £7 10s.
