DOMAIN BOARD.

HELENSVILLE, NOVEMBER 9, 1916. —Present— Corns. J. F. Lambert (chairman), H. Aitkenhead, A. Beeroft, H. Graham, Jas. Stewart, and H. Thompson. —Minutes — Minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed. ' The Wash-house— On the motion of Com. Stewart, seconded by Com. Graham, it was decided to proceed with the erection of the wash-house (at the back of the bathhouse) immediately. —Cutting It Up— On the. motion of Com. Stewart, seconded by Com. Thompson, it was decided that the Chairman be authorised to arrange for the dividing of thejold wash-house at rear of caretakers.-— Carried. —Application for a Grant— Com. Stewart proposed and the Chairman seconded—That the Secretary furnish the Minister of the Tourist Department with a detailed list of expenditure on the "new bath-house and baths, explaining the increased cost of material, and apply for a further grant to cover same.—Carrie d. / —Offer of PalmsMr Clement Wragge wrote offering to supply the Board with acclimatized palms. On the motion of Com. Beeroft, seconded by the Chairman, the Secretary was instructed to reply that the Board was not in a position to purchase palms. —Carried. —Dame Rumour— Mr R Nicholls wrote stating that he had heard a rumour that the Board intended to utilise the piece of ground-" facing the main road, that he had been j working for a grazing paddock. Com. Aitkenhead proposed, and Com. Beeroft seconded—That the Secretary reply stating that the present Board would adhere to the arrangements made with him by the previous Board.— Carried. —Free Room for NurseNurse Sperber made application to the Board for the use of a room at the bath-house, for the purpose of giving massage and electrical treatment to patients attending the baths. On the motion of Com. Becroft, seconded by the Chairman, it was unanimously decided to grant Nurse Sperber the use of a room free of charge. —Reducing the DebtCorn. Stewart proposed, and Com. Aitkenhead seconded—That funds qhtained from grazing rights he paid in ■ reduction of original debt to U.nion Bank. —Carried, —The Old Aooount^ Com. Becroft moved that no money be spent at the Springs until the old account be paid off to the Union Bank. —Motion lapsed, there being no seconder. —New Sprays for Showers— The Chairman proposed and Com Stewart seconded—That the Secretary order six new sprays for the shower baths.—Carried. —Financial— Debit balance at Bank, £263 19s 9d •Accounts Passed fqt' payment, £33 12s Bd. •..'•,..
