EASTER EGG?
WILL YOU HELP ?
SINCE the greedy old woman killed the goctee that laid the golden eggs, poultry fanciers have never been able to breed that invaluable strain again. There is still gold in eggs, however, if one knows how to extract it, and in this connection an interesting experiment is at present being made here in which you are all invited to assist. During the month of October, contributions of eggs are asked for on behalf of the starving •Belgians. These are to be stored in the cool chamber till Eastertide when eggs are dearest, and then sold for the benefit of whatever Belgian need is most urgent at the time. * No one can say in these days by how much the contribution will have increased in value when the eggs come out of store. At least, they will have doubled. Here then is A GOLDEN EASTER EGG FOR BELGIUM. According to some of the prophets the War will end next Easter, This association of the termination, of hostilities with the advent of the Festival of Joy and Hope will commend the prediction to many of us. Donors of eggs may pencil their names on the shell with the date when they think the war will end. It is expected that the eggs bearing the correct guess will be objects of special interest and value next Easter. HQW-TQ HELP.
