Sir,—Relying upon your usual courtesy would you be good enough to supply an answer to a backblocker on the following questions :—
How is the expense paid for the Parliamentary party now at Home ? Should the Premier and ex-Premier take a trip, how will their expenses be p 3dQ r
Are these leaders in the country's business justified in absenting themselves . from their responsible duties at this critical juncture of the country's' position? /
If they can be done without during their absence, could they not be dispensed with altogether ?
In view of the urgent calls made to the people to economise in every possible way, and to deprive themselves of many "iTnTT Ti comforts in their home 3 m order that they may be in a position to pay war taxes, and to meet the hat at every corner and public gathering-in -ew of all this, was the tf a tL2 Government justified in raising all high ■ salaries m civil service to a still l«*i^fei scale ? *3^^| Does our Government practice W^ they preach in the way o f economy ?
