Owing to the weather the market in most lines this week has been in a very unsettled state. The poultry market was very short of requirement and last week's rates were fully maintained, and large quantities of potatoes have arrived from the South Island and prioes are a shade easier. fPumpkins and swedes are slow of sale, Butter and eggs are now arriving in large supply, and the market has a falling • tendency. Pigs are in strong demand and wanted. POULTRY Hens, prime condition 3/9 to 4/9, good to 3/9, ordinary 3s to 3/3, poor 2/3 to 2/7 ; pullets, white and brown Leghorn 4s to 7s ; mixed 3s to 3/6 ; ducks, 3s to 5/4 ; geese, 4s to 6s ; turkeys, gobblers 7/6 to 15s, hens 4s to 6/3 ; roosters, prime 4/6 to 5/9, good 4s to 4/4, smaller 2/6 to 3s, cookrells 1/6 to 1/10.

Pigs—Weaners 15s to £1 2s, suckers 12s to 16s 6d, store pigs up to £119s.
