Comrs. E. T. Field (chairman),' T. Elliott, J. A. Wilson, A. Becroft, J. F. Lambert, and the clerk (Mr H. W. Stringer). MINUTES Minutes.of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. CORRESPONDENCE Outward correspondence was comfirmed. BILLIARDS AT 11 P.M. Mr F. Tucker made application for an extension of the closing hour of his billiard saloon to 11 p.m. —It was decided to refer the application to the Police to report upcn. SEWERAGE CONNECTION. The District Railway Engineer wrote stating that under existing conditions he could not recommend the General Manager to connect railway premises with sewer. On the motion of the Chairman j seconded by Com. Lambert, it was decided to refer the letter to the Health Department Inspector with power to act. ; FENCING IN A. & P. HALL. Com. Elliott proposed and Com. Lambert seconded — That the Agricultural Society be asked to erect a fence on the east side of their hall, —Carried unanimously. DRAIN PIPES. The Chairman's action in ordering pipes for draining Awaroa Road, was confirmed. METAL CHIPS. The Clerk was instructed to order two trucks of metal chips for blinding.
